Abstract
With the rapid development of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), applying these technologies across various professional fields has become a critical issue. Our research team is dedicated to developing a dialogue-based knowledge exploration system tailored to the needs of Taiwan’s humanities research. By integrating a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture, the system enables cross-database retrieval, multi-turn conversational queries, and fact-checking functions, allowing users to conduct historical and literature searches using natural language and thereby supporting the advancement of humanities research in Taiwan.
The system has completed its initial implementation and has secured access to several major databases. This project not only emphasizes the application of AI technologies but also focuses on the deep interconnection and integration of humanities data. By merging technical innovations with humanistic knowledge, we aim to create AI applications with a distinctly Taiwanese character.
Looking ahead, we plan to continue expanding database sources and optimizing system features, ultimately building a sustainable AI-assisted research tool that opens up new possibilities for humanities scholarship.
