“TAIHU” Receives 2025 Future Tech Award Recognition, Showcasing Innovation in AI and Humanities Research

The Taiwan Humanities Conversational AI Knowledge Discovery System (TAIHU), developed by our team, has been honored with the 2025 Future Tech Award and will be showcased at the Future Tech Pavilion of the Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) from October 16 to 18, 2025.

The Future Tech Award attracts nearly 500 submissions each year, evaluated on two major criteria: scientific breakthroughs and industrial applicability. The selected technologies not only receive professional recognition but are also given opportunities for exposure through exhibitions, international participation, and industry matchmaking, opening doors for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

This recognition highlights TAIHU’s innovative application of generative AI. Specifically designed for Taiwan humanities research, the system integrates multiple historical archives and employs Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to perform real-time information retrieval and synthesis. By incorporating a verification-based fact-checking mechanism, TAIHU enhances the credibility and interpretability of AI-generated responses while effectively reducing hallucination risks. Combined with multi-turn dialogue capabilities and localized benchmark development, TAIHU not only improves research efficiency but also demonstrates the transformative potential of generative AI in humanities research, education, and cultural digitalization.

The Taiwan Innotech Expo is the nation’s most representative annual technology exhibition, featuring three major pavilions: the Innovation Pilot Pavilion, the Future Tech Pavilion, and the Sustainability Pavilion. This year, the Future Tech Pavilion focuses on “AI Experience × Innovation Breakthroughs,” bringing together nearly 200 research achievements along with several technology competitions, highlighting Taiwan’s cross-disciplinary innovation and international collaboration capacity.

We sincerely invite you to visit the Future Tech Pavilion and experience how TAIHU bridges Taiwan humanities research and generative AI to open new frontiers of innovation.
