TAIHU Showcased at 2025 Taiwan Innotech Expo, Honored with the Future Tech Award
The TAIWAN Humanities Conversational AI Knowledge Discovery System (TAIHU) received the 2025 Future Tech Award and was showcased at the Future Tech Pavilion of the 2025 Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE), demonstrating the innovative potential of generative AI in humanities research.
During the three-day exhibition, TAIHU drew wide attention from academia, industry, and government sectors. The live demonstration showcased how TAIHU integrates Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with a verification-based fact-checking mechanism to retrieve Taiwan’s humanities and historical databases in real time, generating research content that is credible, interpretable, and traceable. Through interactive experiences, visitors and researchers gained firsthand insight into how AI can assist knowledge exploration and foster new research possibilities.
Jointly organized by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Academia Sinica, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Future Tech Pavilion adopted the theme “AI Application Experience × Innovation Breakthroughs.” Bringing together nearly 200 academic and research achievements alongside international forums, the pavilion served as a key platform for cross-disciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange.
TAIHU’s participation and recognition represent a significant milestone in the intersection of AI and the humanities. Moving forward, the team will continue to enhance system functionality and user experience, advancing the digital transformation of Taiwan’s humanities knowledge and opening a new chapter where technology deepens cultural understanding and knowledge discovery.
